OURS came about because Vienna was missing a studio where both are possible: training that's genuinely good, and not having to step straight back onto the street afterwards.
A class lasts fifty-five minutes. What lingers longer is often what happens afterwards. Someone asks how your week has been, and halfway through answering you realise you have time.
The name is meant literally. This studio belongs to everyone who walks in. Some come because of their back, some for the quiet, some because they're new in the city and don't know anyone yet. All three are equally good reasons.
Twelve reformers, each with enough room around it that nobody pulls their arm in. Most of the week happens here: early morning, at midday between two meetings, and in the evening.
Your teacher is there for you, not just for the room. A correction when you need one, an answer to your question, a spring changed before you ask.
Soft floor, low light, its own sound. This is where it goes back to the beginning: you, the floor, and your own body. Nothing to hold on to, nothing to stand behind.
The room feels like a cave, and that's intended. Once the door closes, nobody is watching. Music specials run here and on the reformers, and in both rooms the same thing happens: you stop thinking about the day and start listening to what you're doing.
Come fifteen minutes early and tell us at the desk that you're new. That's all the preparation needed. We'll show you the changing rooms, the showers and the room you'll be training in, and take you through the equipment.
If you're dealing with an injury, surgery or pregnancy, tell us beforehand. Not because anything gets ruled out, but so you get the version that suits you from the first minute.
And afterwards: stay. The coffee is there, the seating area is there, and nobody is watching the clock. Most of the people who know everyone here simply stayed sitting after their first class.

By car: the Oper/Kärntner Ring garage is right next door. By bike: there are racks around the Ring and a Citybike station in sight.
And yes, we have showers. You can borrow a towel from us, so there's nothing to carry if you're heading straight to the office afterwards.
